about julie     Julie Foldesi is an actress and singer/songwriter. SINGER/SONGWRITER: Julie is in the final stages of completing her new album. This album is produced by the incomparable bluegrass man, Dick Neal, and I think you'll be delighted with this new slant on Julie's sound. You can get an early listen on the Jane Magazine website where Julie just won a spot on their Music 'It List.' You have to click on the "click here to enter" link to check it out. Julie continues to write and play around NYC, often with her acoustic quartet CooCooLuLu (Cary, Lori, Jordan and Julie). Original tunes, great harmonies, often hilarious. They play every month at the Red Lion in the West Village. People have compared Julie's sound to Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin, Joni Mitchell...it's a bit folk/rock, with a dash of country, and of course it's now going down that ever so lovely road to bluegrass. Keep checking for upcoming gigs.
ACTRESS: Julie just finished appearing at a new theater in Northport, Long Island, playing Mary in A WONDERFUL LIFE, the musical version of the movie. For info. on the theater visit: font size = "+1">www.johnwengemantheater.com
Julie has been lucky enough to have made her living in the theater ever since she graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Opera performance. She has done Broadway, Off-Broadway, national tours, soap opera, commercials, voice-overs, every kind of recording project imaginable, concerts, and she balances it by taking time to sit with her guitar, keyboard and a writing pen.   For more info, email jkfoldesi@aol.com |
