Julie Foldesi returns to Joe's Pub after the release of her debut bluegrass/folk album, THIS PART OF TOWN.
The evening will feature songs from the album and new ones as well. She'll be backed by her talented group of musicians and a trio of string instruments - an evening not to be misssed.
This North Carolina native's songs range from lovelorn to political, soul-searching to self critical. "I hear some qualities of Jewel, Dixie Chicks, and maybe a touch of KD Lang. Hopefully we'll get to hear more from her in the future." - WRAL.com (NC)

It looks like Friday, November 21, is the night to be at the Pour House. Raleigh native Julie Foldesi will bring her brand of alt-country from NYC in support of her newest CD, “This Part of Town”.
The Balsa Gliders, a local band heavily influenced by alternative rock of the late 80’s will also be playing. The band consists of a lawyer, a minister, a journalist, and a banker. Yeah, it sounds like the beginning of a joke, but the joke’s on you, buddy, if you aren’t there. Athens, GA’s Packway Handle Band will open the show.
